Thank you all for a very successful 2016 Hampshire Coon Creek Country Days!
We hope you enjoyed the music, food, carnival, parade—and all the other numerous activities that kept the town hoppin’ from
Thursday to Sunday. There was definitely something for everyone! And weren’t those fireworks just fantastic? Thank you, Mad Bomber!
With the exception of one blip Thursday night where we had to close a little early due to a storm rolling in, all four days brought us
sunshine and clear skies! As safety is our #1 priority, we thank the Hampshire Fire Department for keeping watch for us
Thursday night and informing us when it was time to shut down.
And a special thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in our survey. As Committee members, we are always seeking ways to make the Festival better, so we implemented the first-ever Coon Creek Country Days survey. We sought feedback on such things as the entertainment, food choices, how and when you heard about Coon Creek Country Days, and how you think we can improve it for you.
In the coming months the Committee will review the results and implement what we can for 2017.
There is no greater joy for the Committee members than to see you all having a good time. We have many people to thank for that, including our sponsors (yay!), our vendors (yippee!), all our volunteers (hip-hip-hooray!), and our police, fire, park district and other town services that keep us safe and give us a nice home for the festival (way to go!). But, mostly, we thank YOU—our attendees—for coming year after year. Every dollar you spend goes right back into the festival for improvements or is donated to one of several worthy community service organizations that serve clients in and around Hampshire. So thank you all for that.
Please have a safe and joyful rest of summer, and check back here periodically for news and information as we head toward 2017—
the 35th Anniversary of Hampshire Coon Creek Country Days!
